Pre-Tumbling Ages 2 to 4: Focuses on activities which prepare your child for tumbling. From bear crawls to donkey kicks, the children “play games” which are actually building their muscles and teaching them the basics of tumbling. We focus on teaching proper technique on front rolls, bridges, and rebounds. Children learn to follow directions in class while learning new skills. Instructional time is broken up with short periods of free play to fit the attention span of this age group.
Tumble 1 Ages 4 and up: For students who are just starting out with tumbling and
cheer, this class starts with the basics. Children will learn proper stretches, technique, and form. This class takes beginners from front rolls to cartwheels and round-offs to front and back walkovers.
Tumble 2 For students who have mastered cartwheels and roundoffs. Focuses on skills for Level 2 cheer, including back handsprings (both standing and running) and stepout combinations.
Tumble 3 For students who have mastered single back handsprings. Focuses on
skills for Level 3 cheer, including multiple back handspring combinations,
back tucks, and punch fronts.
Tumble 4 For students who have mastered back handspring combinations and back tucks. Focuses on skills for Level 4 cheer, including standing back tuck, layouts, whipbacks, and multiple back handspring combinations ending with back tucks or layouts.
Tumble 5 For students who have mastered standing back tuck and running layouts.
Focuses on skills for Level 5 cheer, including fulls, double fulls, and arabians, both running and standing.
